Spoof-rocc

Don't be fooled by this photo; the DL link is not a comp. filled with rihanna, fergie, akon and others..

Remember these compilations; "now that's what i call.."? Well, this post isn't one of 'those' mixes. Rather, a spoof mix from a series J-Rocc put out around 2002-2003.

This is vol. 2 in the series...a 20 track mix of current underground hip hop (in 2003ish).

Hey radio world, this one's for you

Future Flavsssssssss. I understand the mass appeal of the current top 40/itunes charts in the radio biz, but what's the deal with not throwing this type of program on every station worldwide?

This is your typical raw street hip hop mix show hosted by Marley Marl and a few of his boys (Pete Rock is out of town this night, djing at an All-Star game party). With this show, you get your dose of MOPs, Fredro Stars!!, Royce, a call in, station ID's, doubles, "future flavas" drops and exxxxxclusives (at the time).

Nothing quite like being in NYC on Sunday nights listening to Hot 97 at 10pm.

BOBBITOOOO

GYEA! Here's a great springtime mix for you by the one and only Bobbito/DJ Cucumberslice/ill ball player/ill sneaker collection. This is a latin-based mix/compilation fusing hip hop, jazz, cumbia, house, salsa, etc...I believe it's vol. 3 in his earthtones mix collection. This was put out around 2002.

BACK FOR GOOD!!

Okay, so you can tell by the post/publish dates, it has been quite some time. I have had little motivation to update the site because of no tape deck (check the last post). Back whenever, with the digital conversion of Cassette tapes to Compact Discs I played the role and did my part of converting. Long story short, I spent many a hour ripping mixtapes (in real time) onto Cool Edit and burning to CD. So, I have a nice supply of mixtapes on CD that I will be posting until I find a cheap tape deck to replace the last few that busted.

Here is a mix I did for Official, a premium hat company back in 2007. I go all over the place with music selection. Peep their site for great deals and stuff.
